Jack's Camp is located deep in the Kalahari Desert on the edge of the Makgadikgadi Pans, the largest expanse of nothingness on earth.
Accommodation is in keeping with the magic of the Makgadikgadi. There are eight spacious and airy walk-in tents, all with en suite facilities. The décor luxuriously emulates the ambience of a 1940 s safari camp. The common area includes a reception tent where cocktails are served, a tea tent draped with antique oriental rugs and filled with comfortable kilim cushions, a pool, and an open-air dining room set under a large old Acacia tree. It also houses one of Botswana's three officially recognized museums, featuring a smorgasbord of stone age tools and fascinating geological and natural history artifacts, all collected on the Pans.
After the rains (December to April), large herds of Zebra (with accompanying predators) move onto the open grasslands surrounding the Makgadikgadi Pans. The summer rains also leave a warm shallow layer of water on the pans, attracting waterfowl and thousands of flamingos. Activities are conducted in open 4x4 vehicles, custom designed for the delicate terrain, and are accompanied by very knowledgeable guides. In the dry winter months, guests are offered the opportunity to explore the salt pans on all-purpose ATV vehicles (a four wheeled motorcycle). Some of the many other activities include close-up encounters with meerkats, educational nature walks with a Bushman tracker, visits to ancient baobab trees, and star-gazing from the vast Makgadigadi Pans. The area is also home to a clan of the rare and endangered Brown Hyena, as well as other desert-adapted creatures such as the aardvark, aardwolf, ostrich, and Kori Bustard.

24-27 January 2027
Spend three nights at Chitabe Camp in Tented Rooms, on a fully inclusive basis (including accommodation, all meals, all activities, refreshments while on activity, all non-premium brand beverages, laundry, and the services of a professional guide).
* Please note that you will enjoy the services of a private guide and vehicle at Chitabe Camp.
Chitabe is a luxurious tented camp built on one of the most beautiful islands in the Okavango Delta, on a private concession that is bordered on three sides by the Moremi Game Reserve. The camp is surrounded by waterways and lagoons, which host a variety of wildlife.
Accommodation consists of eight spacious walk-in tents that are built on elevated wooden decks, beneath the lush leafy forest canopy. Each tented room has a ceiling fan, en suite facilities, an outdoor shower, and a wonderful view. The thatched dining room, living room and bar areas are also raised on decks overlooking the surrounding flood plains. There is a plunge pool for cooling off during the day.
Activities consist of game walks, and day and night game drives in open Landrovers, accompanied by an experienced guide. There is a hide on the property where guests can enjoy wildlife viewing away from a vehicle. Buffalo, Elephant, Lion, Leopard, Reedbuck, Lechwe, Impala, Zebra and Hippo are among the major game attractions of the area. One of the main highlights is the prevalence of the very rare and endangered African painted dog in the area; guests on the Chitabe concession have more chance of seeing these beautiful animals than almost anywhere else in Africa.
27 January 2027
Today you will be collected and transferred by shared charter aircraft to Duba Plains Camp (approximately 20 minutes).
27-31 January 2027
Spend four nights at Duba Plains Camp in Tented Suites, on a fully inclusive basis (including accommodation, all meals, all activities, refreshments while on activity, all alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages, laundry, and the services of a professional guide).
* Please note that you will enjoy the services of a private guide and vehicle at Duba Plains Camp.
Duba Plains is situated in the furthermost reaches of the Okavango Delta, beautifully located on an island surrounded by expansive seasonally flooded plains and shaded by ancient Ebony, Fig and Garcinia trees. This pristine 77,000 acre private concession is the home-base of renowned National Geographic film makers Dereck and Beverly Joubert who chose Duba for its abundant wildlife and exclusivity.
The camp is small and intimate, with accommodation for only fourteen guests. Its five tented suites are raised on wooden decks, with ceiling fans, en suite bathrooms (with both shower and sumptuous bathtub), and private verandas overlooking the floodplain, replete with private plunge pool and shaded sala. The two bedroom Duba Plains Suite enjoys the added advantages of a private safari vehicle and guide, private chef and private butler. Common areas include an expansive, raised dining room and bar area, a comfortable lounge, library, and wine cellar, with numerous private spaces for guests to absorb the safari ambience.
Activities at Duba Plains focus on day and night game drives in specially adapted Land Cruisers. Duba has been referred to as the "Mara Plains of Botswana" for the sheer volume of game that resides on its fertile flooplains, and predator viewing can be a highlight. Being outside the boundaries of the Moremi Reserve, park rules do not apply, and guests may enjoy night drives and walking safaris.
