Embark on a morning cruise to watch for whales and dolphins. As you behold these magnificent mammals, learn about them and other Azorean marine life from the experienced resident biologists who accompany you throughout the experience (3 hours).
Return to Ponta Delgada to enjoy lunch at leisure before embarking on a visit to Sete Cidades. The tour begins at the pineapple greenhouses, a classic stop in São Miguel. Discover the unique atmosphere and the warm, earthy air inside the glass. Afterward, taste the delicious pineapple liqueur. Next, head toward Sete Cidades. The road goes up, and you suddenly reach the Vista do Rei viewpoint. Stop here and take in the view of two lakes—one blue, one green—side by side in the crater, an iconic scene of the Azores. Descend into the crater and see Santiago Lake, surrounded by trees and lush vegetation. Before reaching the center of Sete Cidades village, get a sense of the quiet, local daily life. On the way back, pass by Pico do Carvão. From here, see both coasts of São Miguel at once. Take a moment to breathe in the real spirit of the Azores before your day ends. (4 hours, driver and guide)
